REVIEW: Chuck - 1 of 6

'Brilliant', is the word I'd choose if I had to sum up the TV show, "Chuck". As completely off the wall and removed from reality as it is, I love the premise of the show. And that's probably why I loved this book too.

***SPOILER ALERT***

If you've never seen an episode of Chuck and know nothing about the premise behind it, this series will, in all honesty, be completely lost on you. Which is a shame. Especially when the Lost-parody dream sequence at the start of the book is so good, and the goofy but mildly serious feel has been conveyed so well.

Don't, however, let this put you off. Read the Chuck wikipedia entry to fill in the blanks, and give the book a chance. Issue one of Chuck is an action packed ride along a funky fun rollercoaster, and for $2.99, it'd be a shame to miss it - fan or otherwise.

Pete's Score: 4 out of 5
(thoroughly enjoyable if you're a fan of the show - may be difficult to get into otherwise)
